The meeting with Maxine is set and the items for the trap have been acquired, so it's time to let Isabelle know. Expressing your doubt about Maxine buying the whole ghost pig thing, Isabelle reassures you and suggests that you put on the costume to use as evidence of the monster’s existence. Regardless of whoever takes the photo, you and Isabelle go to Maxine to present it to her. Maxine refuses to have the meeting in the Clubroom, so she gives you and Isabelle a riddle and you both start the search.

If you calmed her down during [[Gathering Storm]], you can ask Isabelle to lock the Homeroom door and have a quickie, otherwise you both reach the Roof Landing and show Maxine the photo. She takes the bait and plans to publish the story.

The next day, you head to the newspaper stand and see Maxine’s work, but ponder on how to get Kate to see it. You head to the Sports Wing and recall Kate’s habit of staring at the trophy case when she sits and takes off her shoes, so you find Jo and ask her about unlocking the case to slip the newspaper inside.

Once Independence Day comes on Day 21, you enter the Cafeteria to hear Isabelle’s open dinner invitation. Kate mocks her, reminding her that students are prohibited to host parties at school, which prompts you to ask Jo for a chaperone to watch you guys tonight. After getting the a-okay from Jo, you let Isabelle know the good news. She asks you to do the honors of delivering the invitations to everybody. Everyone will appear regardless, but your choices will raise or lower stats with all the girls except for Kate.

That night, Isabelle’s the only one dressed up for the occasion, but she expresses satisfaction everyone was able to show up. After a brief conversation with her, you chat with the others, and eventually Kate will leave, Isabelle following behind.

It’s time to spring the trap. You both head upstairs and Isabelle asks you to set it up while she sneaks into the girl’s bathroom in the pig costume to scare Kate. After setting up the trap, you suddenly hear Kate’s scream as she comes barreling down the hallway, Isabelle behind her, until Kate trips on the tripwire and is covered in the paint. It's now your turn to scare her. Isabelle hands you the costume and either cleans up the mess or goes to get the Art Room key while you play your role. After a quick lock picking minigame, you enter the Art Classroom and find Kate inside the supply closet, her face covered in red paint, unable to see. After scaring her again, she’ll run past you, crashing into the chairs and easels, pleading and even peeing herself. You then leave her a pile of piss and tears on the floor, reveling in your triumph.

Returning to the Cafeteria, a sudden laugh stops your conversation dead in its tracks, and when you look over, you see a doll. The lights are now off, and Lindsey is nowhere to be found. Reassuring Isabelle and the Nurse that you’ll find Lindsey, you eventually head to the rooftop, finding the door to be locked with Lindsey’s jacket lodged inside. Not finding the key in the Guard’s Booth, you quickly call Jo and tell her the situation. When you step outside, you look up to find Lindsey on the edge of the roof and immediately call Jo again. If you've completed [[Lindsey#Season_1_Quests|all of Lindsey's quests]], you can attempt to break down the rooftop door and save her, but whether you try to help or not, you are rendered useless as Lindsey steps forward and falls to the ground.

* Proceeding on Independence Day while other Season 1 quests are available or active will render them null and void.
* If you have sex with Kate in the Art Classroom, Isabelle will catch you if she was sent to get the room key. When that happens:
** Romance with Isabelle will be disabled during [[Fall in Newfall]].
** [[The Grand Gesture]] will replace [[Under the Stars]].
* If you feel like you did all you could to save Lindsey, you will be locked out of her quests in Season 2.
** Another way to see Lindsey after her injuries will pop up in the future.

** If Isabelle has 6 or more Lust points, it is possible to have anal sex with her.
*** Giving her an anal creampie will reward 2 more Lust points for her, while commenting on how she didn't orgasm will reward 1.
* It is possible to have sex with Kate in the Art Classroom after opening the supply closet door by tricking her into believing you are Chad.
** Isabelle will catch you in the act if you sent her to get the room key.
* Mrs. L and the glowing spider eggs can be seen in the Fine Arts Hall or Sports Wing whilst looking for Lindsey at the end of the quest.
