Jacklyn is the cool teacher's assistant, though her attitude is more student than staff. She's open-minded and confident, with a great passion for art. Her words can be pretty vulgar for a staff member, though it's sometimes hard to understand what she's saying because of her cutting-edge metaphoric language. She's pretty carefree and doesn't put sex on a pedestal at all, which makes her quite easy to sleep with. Notably, Jacklyn was absent during the MC's senior year in his original timeline.

Appearance[edit | edit source]

Jacklyn has amber eyes and short black hair, the tips of which are dyed green. Her right ear is pierced with 2 silver rings and a red ball, and her nails are painted pitch black.

Her Season 1 outfit consists of an attire some would consider abnormal, especially for a teacher: the top half is more professional, consisting of a white collared shirt, orange sweater, and gray jacket with a button pinned on it, depicting either a yellow emoji with an X for a mouth by default or a purple squid in a chef hat after completing Strawberries, Cherries. Her bottom half, however, creates a more punk aesthetic, consisting of a short skirt lowered enough to expose her pink thong straps, thigh-high fishnet stockings, and shin-high laced black boots. Some of that punk has bled into her top half with her having a spiked choker around her neck.

Her Season 2 outfit has her trading out her fishnet stockings and black skirt for fishnet pantyhose and dark blue booty shorts, complete with an orange striped button-up sweater, a choker with small spikes and a chain, and black boots.

Her only other outfit is from Paint the Town, where Jacklyn wears an orange gradient dress with a spiked belt and chain around her waist and thigh-high fishnet stockings.

Personality[edit | edit source]

Jacklyn is outgoing and carefree, not giving a damn what anyone thinks of her and enjoying life to its fullest. She loves art and its intricacies and hates societal norms and its boringness. To her, everything is art if you just know how to perceive it. She's also very chill and relaxed, which makes her easy to break bad news to, but can also be concerning when she's not fully aware of how she's hurting others or leading them on, namely people like Flora. But despite coming off as nothing more than a chill and free spirit, she not only can properly defend herself in a fight if pushed to it[3], but she can step up and be the adult in the room when the time calls for it, proving that perhaps she has the makings of a good teacher, after all.

    • Her full name, Jacklyn Hyde, is a play on "Jekyll and Hyde". It is currently unclear if this is symbolic or just a cheeky reference.
